NICOLE RICHIE COURTS DEAL

“Simple Life” star Nicole Richie is expected to show up in court today – and possibly cop a DUI plea bargain that could send her to jail, sources said yesterday.

Richie is scheduled to go to trial Aug. 16 in Glendale, Calif., and face a possible second DUI conviction which would bring mandatory time behind bars. But defense lawyers and Los Angeles County prosecutors have told a judge that Richie wants to appear today, a court spokesman said.

Richie, 25, was busted on Dec. 11 for allegedly driving the wrong way on an L.A. freeway.
