Rudy Gobert was born on June 26, 1992. He is a French professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association, NBA.

He is also a representative for the French National Basketball team. He has represented his country in many international games.

He is currently considered one of the NBA‘s best rim protectors.

Gobert was born and raised in Saint Quentin, Aisne, in the Nothern part of France his homeland.

His father, Rudy Bourgarel is a native of Guadeloupe. Mr. Bourgarel was a basketball player in college at a University in the United States.

He played for the Marist Red Foxes from 1985 to 1988 during his college years.

His Dad grew up and decided to take his basketball career to a next level, he became a professional and played for the Paris and Saint Quentin, where he met Gobert’s mother.

Unfortunately for Gobert, his parents divorced when he was three years old. After legal issues were solved Gobert was asked to stay with his mother for proper parental care but regularly made a trip to visit his dad.
